The Trumansburg Area Christmas Bureau is a local program of “neighbors helping neighbors”. Families who need assistance with the extra burdens of the holiday are anonymously paired with sponsors who help with clothing and gifts for the children, and extra food for the holidays.

The program is open to families living in the Trumansburg School District with children age 18 years old & younger who live at home, and who attend Trumansburg Central Schools when age appropriate (K-12)  (Children aged 18-20 are eligible if they are still enrolled in Trumansburg School or BOCES.)  These guidelines also apply to children who are home-schooled.

The Christmas Bureau recruits sponsors who are asked to purchase one outfit of new clothes, a hat & gloves, and one to three modest toys or games for each child.  We also provide groceries to help with meals during the winter break.  Sponsors & Family Identities are kept confidential.

If you are a family interested in receiving support through the TACB program this year, please complete our TACB Family Application and mail the application to us by Friday November 4, 2022. Family Applications can be secured by your calling 607 387 3428 or by email, tburgchristmas@gmail.com .

When filling out the application form ( on both sides!) , please be as specific as possible about color preferences, and clothing sizes.  If you give specific ideas about interests,  the kinds of clothing styles, and modest toys your child likes, our sponsors will more likely be able to get what your children will enjoy.  We cannot provide expensive gift items, like cell phones, iPods, Xbox, sports equipment, etc.

For you to be a part of this year’s Christmas Bureau’s Program,  WE MUST RECEIVE YOUR APPLICATION BY FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4^TH.  This allows sponsors time to shop & prepare the gifts for the Distribution Day on Saturday, December 17^th, .

In early December, you will receive a letter informing you of where and when you are scheduled to come and pick up your family gifts and food on Distribution Day.
